Hafragilsfoss
The Hafralgirsfoss in the river Jökulsá á Fjöllum is  located just downstream of the mighty Dettifoss falls.

Located in the Vatnajökull National Park Hafralgirsfoss  can be accessed by dirtroads on both sides of the river, but for the best view take the Holsfjallavegur (864) on the eastside of the river.

Through very colorful red hills you reach the parking lot where from highup you can can see the water drop 27 meters.
Way upstream a waterplume indicates the position of the Dettifoss waterfall.

Compared to the Dettifoss the viewpoint of Hafralgirsfoss is higher and the area is more colorful.
