Presently
is a 60 ha bird sactuary, but it all started in 1949 when André Lamouroux put some birds of the
Camargue on display in small aviaries.
There
are footpaths snaking around the marshes, ponds, and reed beds from where you can observe flamingos, herons and other birds
up close.
Not mentioned in the folders but very much present are the mosquitos, so it is wise to have your insect
repellent ready.
We strolled the marshes and observed the flamingos and herons in May 2015 and forgot the insect reppelent......
