not sure if anybody is home, but there are penguins at the shore and on the pack of snow
Several research stations are
located here with two of them having a year-round occupancy.
Parts of the lands around the bay are designated
Important Birdlife Area to protect breeding colonies for penguins, petrels and skuas. Wendell and Southern elephant seals also
breed here.
In summer scientists use the US operated
Copacabana Field Camp as base to study Adelie and Gentoo penguins in
the nearby breeding colonies.
In February 2008 the Star Princess sailed into the majestic Admiralty Bay.

on their work out there. As a reward they feasted on the Star Princess's copious buffet.

we approach Arctowski Base, a year-round Polish research station
there are several building, one of them is a greenhouse for fresh vegetables
people are readying a zodiac to pay us a visit
on the way back we pass a small, unmanned station
part of the Krakow icefield, where ice floes and icebergs spawn
a look into Mackellar Inlet, one of the fjords
in the afternoon we leave Admiralty Bay
