welcome back aboard
Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, the capital of Galapagos Province is not a big city
Not much else to do here, except for a couple of T-shirt shops and
the ever-present local wildlife in and around the harbor.
Earlier in the rainy morning of June 1
of 2009 we visited
Kicker
Rock, the split remains of an exploded ancient lava cone.
It is a prime snorkeling and diving area where you can spot turtles,
rays, sharks and even the occasional hammerhead.
We did see the end of the rainbow here, but somehow missed the pot of
gold.
an early morning view of Kicker Rock
what's up?
the end of a rainbow, where is the pot of gold?
Kicker's Rock is split in the middle, wide enough to go through
a dozing sea lion blocks our entrance to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno
pelicans do not eat Sally Lightfoots, so it seems
we disturb a Lava Heron during its fishing activities
come on, make my day
a parade of Sally Lightfoots
while waiting for the zodiac pick-up, you can check out the sea lions and pelicans
